JARDEN= SH*T

In response to this thread: http://community.dananddave.com/showthread.php?t=9268

Those are POST-JARDEN, PRE-KENTUCKY. It's not the Kentucky necessarily that sucks, it's the Jarden factor (which includes ALL Kentucky decks, but also SOME Cincinatti decks- like in this case.)

It's NOT that they were waiting to run out of Cincinatti Boxes, because these are NEW boxes, hence the "Jarden paragraph" next to the barcode.

Jarden is SHIT. Good thing I stocked up on old q1 Tally's, and I suggest you guys do the same before their prices skyrocket.

Also, be careful about NORMAL Cincinatti boxes, without the "Jarden Paragraph", but that have BLACK stickers. This only applies to decks that normall had blue stickers, not decks like Black Lions that always came with black stickers.

I recently bought a gross of rider backs that were normal in every sense except for the sticker color. When I opened them, the stock sucked and the Jokers said KENTUCKY. I've seen Tallies, Hoyles and Bikes like this.

BEWARE. It's getting harder and harder to find good stuff, I'm trying to build a lifetime supply for myself (which shouldn't take too many decks considering my age, hahaha).

Wynn Casino Playing Cards

Let's talk a little about Wynns. We'll leave brown Wynns out of this; that's a whole 'nother topic.

Red or violet. Jumbo or standard index. Uncanceled. That's what we want. That's what we all agree on. There's one thing that's constantly disagreed upon: the finish.

Here's the thing- WYNN'S CAME WITH 2 DIFFERENT FINISHES. One is waxy and sticky, the card's don't fan even out of the box. The other decks have a great linen-like finish, and they fan wonderfully. This applies to both colors, standard or jumbo index.

The secret is the date in the tuck window. Don't believe me? Find yourself a Wynn printed in '06. Now find one in '07. Now compare them.

Wynns from 2006 are awesome! The ones from 2007 are good for "cuts/flourishes", and that's it! 52 dead animals fan better.

This is a fact, open some and prove it to yourself.

2006 Wynns are much rarer, however. Especially REDS. I have come across a few red ones with no date printed at all on them, and they have been 2006 finish. As far as I know, ALL jumbo index wynns are from 2006 and are the good finish.

Thank you.
